Terms of Service

The rules, in plain words

Last updated: June 2026

1 · What LANDMARK is

LANDMARK is an algorithmic index of companies and individuals, computed from publicly available signals and recalculated every cycle. Appearing on the index is free, automatic and not a statement by us — it is the output of a published algorithm over public data (see the methodology). By using the site you accept these terms.

2 · The index cannot be bought

No payment, subscription or relationship with us affects an entity's score, position or tier. We do not sell placement, accept nominations, or make manual exceptions. Positions are recomputed from scratch every cycle and may change or disappear accordingly. We may correct data errors (wrong handle, mismatched identity) at any time.

3 · Claiming a plate

Claiming activates the visual state of a plate the algorithm already created. To claim you must verify you are the entity (work email, GitHub, or domain verification). You may then add a subtitle and an outbound link, which must: belong to the entity, not impersonate anyone, contain no malware or deceptive redirects (links are screened), and contain no unlawful or hateful content. We may revoke a claim that breaks these rules; if we do so without cause on your side, we refund the current period.

4 · Payments

Claims are annual subscriptions processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record — Paddle is the seller of record and handles billing, taxes and invoices under their buyer terms. Cancel anytime; your plate stays active until the end of the paid period. Refunds per our refund policy.

5 · Opt-out and disputes

Any entity may remove itself from the index at any time via the opt-out flow — removal is immediate and permanent. Disputes about identity, data accuracy or a claimed plate: contact us.

6 · Fair play

Attempting to manipulate the index (fabricated signals, coordinated inflation, claiming an identity that is not yours, abusing verification or rate limits) may result in score penalties, removal from the index, claim revocation without refund, or all three. The anti-spike filter exists for a reason.

7 · No warranties

The index is informational and provided "as is". Scores derive from third-party public data that may be incomplete or wrong; we make no warranty of accuracy, availability or fitness for any purpose, and we are not liable for decisions made based on the index. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the previous 12 months.

8 · Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be noted on this page with a new date. Continued use after a change means acceptance. If a clause is found invalid, the rest stands.
